Microsoft Exchange Server 2019 Enterprise - The ideal software solution for large enterprises
Based on the 2016 version, Microsoft has improved the groupware and e-mail transport server software used in many Windows environments at key points. Companies that buy Microsoft Exchange Server 2019 Enterprise thus benefit from Microsoft's most powerful central management and storage of tasks, contacts, appointments and e-mails to date.
The current Enterprise edition, unlike the Standard edition of Microsoft Exchange, is specifically tailored to the requirements of large enterprises. Of particular note is the support for up to 100 databases with a size of 2 terabytes each. For comparison: the Exchange Server 2019 Standard, adapted for small and medium-sized businesses, supports only 5 databases.
Bing search, voice mail features and redesigned calendar
Users who buy and use Microsoft Exchange Server 2019 Enterprise for the first time will notice several important changes right away. The most visible change for end users is the revised calendar system, which in the current version is modeled on Office 365 and therefore also offers simple calendar sharing. In addition, administrators have new and extended functions for more efficient management through additional PowerShell cmdlets and the newly integrated "Do not Forward" feature starting with the 2019 version. These include functions such as "Remove-CalendarEvents" and "Add-MailboxFolderPermission", which serve to assign delegation permissions.
With Microsoft Exchange Server 2019 Enterprise, Microsoft also removes the now outdated FAST search from the software and replaces it with the Bing Search Engine. Search information and search indexes are therefore now part of the mailbox databases. In addition to the old search, support for Unified Messaging is also discontinued, so the software's voice mail functionalities now operate via Cloud Voice Mail. Accordingly, Skype for Business 2019 or Office 365 is required for use.
More performance for higher demands
The reason large enterprises buy Microsoft Exchange Server 2019 Enterprise is the traditional support for particularly powerful server systems. Microsoft addresses this need in the current version by increasing the maximum supported memory from 192 GB to 256 GB. The performance adjustment goes even further in terms of CPU power. Exchange Server 2019 even doubles the maximum supported processors from 24 to 48. Full support for SSD drives as cache provides further tangible performance optimization in direct operation.
Selected features of Microsoft Exchange Server 2019 Enterprise

Unlimited usage period and flexible licensing
Companies can purchase Client Access Licenses (CALs) for the use of Microsoft Exchange Server 2019 Enterprise. These are available either as user-bound User CALs or device-bound Device CALs, allowing flexible and cost-efficient usage. There is also the option to purchase an External Connector. This gives external users such as customers or suppliers direct access to Exchange as well, simplifying many processes. In addition, the use of Microsoft Exchange Server 2019 Enterprise is unlimited in time.
